So she finds herself in a death-do-us-part scenario
with a guy who, let’s face it, isn’t too smart. And he can be violent, although never with her, or any other female for that matter. He’s also very good with the nestlings. A fine provider. It’s just that recently he nearly killed himself attacking a window. He lay stunned on the ground for so long she wondered if he’d revive. He even lost some head feathers, always his best feature. Really it’s that Scrub Jay he should be watching out for. They’ve lost eggs to it before. Thus she begins entertaining fantasies involving the possibly smarter bird next door. |
